Working with Audit Directors and Partners, you will manage and deliver audit engagements from planning through to completion and be responsible for a wide-ranging portfolio of clients.
As Audit Manager your
responsibilities:
Acting as the main point of contact for clients, liaising with them throughout the audit cycleManaging teams through the planning, fieldwork and completion of audit engagementsManaging performance of teams, monitoring budgets and keeping the audit director and partner updated on progressManage and mentor junior team members with the ability to give constructive feedbackEnsuring the effective and timely delivery of engagementsAssist in tendering for new clientsMaintaining and developing client relationships, both written communication and conducting face to face meetingsLiaise with other departments in order to efficiently complete jobs whilst adding value to clients’ needsEnsuring the firms processes and technical standards are maintained, with the ability to answer technical questions proficiently and confidentlyContinue developing your technical skills in all areas of the accounting and auditing standardsTo professionally represent the firm and its interests in dealings with clients and other professionals at all timesKeep up to date with internal policies, procedures and announcementsOther ad hoc duties in line with business requirements

Fully ACA or ACCA qualified with experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environmentHave a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience of managing audits and audit teamsStrong technical knowledge and experience in IFRS, FRS 101 and FRS 102Proven experience in working to tight deadlines and time managementDemonstrate strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to build strong relationships with staff and clientsAn aptitude for teamwork and problem solvingPositive and ambitious attitudeExperience of the following computer programmes is beneficial but not essential; ProAudit, Sage Accounts Production Advanced, Sage Line 50, Xero
