You will get the opportunity to strengthen the Richemont Group Legal team by providing legal advice and assistance in relation to general employment matters, including: recruitment; grievance and disciplinary issues; internal investigations; misconduct; performance management; anti-harassment and discrimination; sickness absence; dismissals; non-compete agreements; compensation and benefits; corporate transactions and reorganisations (including application of TUPE); litigation; mobility and accommodations issues; future of work programs; interactions with Unions; and apprenticeships.

 

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

  • In partnership with HR, ensure employee-related policies, procedures and documents  are up-to-date and aligned to Group requirements and also to UK employment law and practices.
  • In partnership with HR, manage the complete process of employee investigations, grievances and disciplinaries.
  • Partnering with internal teams to identify risk areas and to build processes and playbooks for recurring employee-related matters as well as teaming up with other internal employment counsel within Group Legal to develop a centre of excellence.
  • Support the business in developing and delivering Employee Relations trainings as needed.
  • Act as point of contact with Richemont data privacy teams on topics such as DSARs.
  • Drafting and revising employment related agreements and policies including: offer letters; severance agreements; confidentiality agreements; employee handbooks; engagements with consultants and/or agency workers; and other employment related documents.
  • Partnering with internal teams to identify risk areas and to build processes and playbooks for recurring employee-related matters.
  • Partnering with the HR Learning and Development team to deliver compliance related training.
  • Supporting employment litigation, in conjunction with external counsel as necessary.
  • Monitoring and advising re: relevant developments in applicable employment laws/cases/regulations etc.

 

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?

  • 5+ years of post-qualification experience in labour and employment law.
  • UK Qualified lawyer.
  • Strong experience with labour and employment law in UK, particularly re:  performance management, compliance and disciplinary procedures. Willingness to learn about employment laws in other jurisdictions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to partner effectively with cross-functional teams to provide practical advice and bring strategic and scalable solutions.
  • Experience with coordinating and driving to completion large-scale projects.
  • Candidate must be: discreet; confident; hands-on and self-motivated; collaborative; agile/flexible; able to learn quickly; and be solutions oriented.
  • In-house experience preferred but not necessarily required.
  • Foreign languages, particularly French, useful but not necessary.
