We are looking for experienced and Passionate Mental Health Helpline Workers

You will provide telephone support services by assisting the clients to prevent escalation of mental health problems and thereby avoid mental health crisis. This includes providing appropriate information as well as referrals to other services and resources. The worker will operate the helpline, take calls and referrals from professionals, self-referrals, establish rapport, and assess the level of client needs and risk. To make appropriate referral to internal and external services, ensuring the client only tells their story once. 

Release The Pressure is a 24/7 helpline service providing a free telephone helpline and webchat facility for people aged 16 and over in Kent and Medway who are, or may, need to access emotional support, guidance or information to prevent, reduce and/or de-escalate mental distress. This may be people affected by mental illness, their carers/friends/family or professionals.

*24 Hour helpline, We have 3 shifts each 24 hour period  - 8am to 4pm, 3pm to 12am (midnight), then 12am (midnight to 8am). 

Appointments will be at the minimum of the band. 

Bank Workers are paid at £12.06 per hour.
