Smile Education are delighted to be working alongside a vibrant school located in south Birmingham. We are currently looking for a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to join the team from May 2024.
 
We are currently seeking a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to join this friendly team from May half-term through to the end of the academic year. The successful applicant will be supporting a Year 5 pupil on a 1:1 basis. Applicants should be confident in working with a pupil on a 1:1 basis and have a good understanding of how to support pupils with Autism. You will be supporting the pupil throughout the day, working both inside the classroom and outside of the classroom where required, for example to complete intervention works.
 
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive primary team. The school is located in south Birmingham, within proximity to Bordesley, Digbeth, and Highgate. The expected salary range for this role is between £80-110 per day, depending on experience.

We would like applicants to have experience working as a Teaching Assistant within an academic setting. This role is ideal for anyone wishing to gain further experience in the field of SEND Education or expand their knowledge on how to effectively support pupils with autism.

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:
Hold a relevant TA qualification such as Level 3 Supporting Teaching and LearningConfident in working on a 1:1 basis, including delivering intervention works in upper KS2Able to work closely with Class Teacher and school SENDCO to ensure robust and effective support across school for 1:1 pupil.
