Mitchellwest are currently looking to expand their engineering team creating exciting new roles, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Fitters Mate to join our technical team to assist our engineers on site with general maintenance and installation work for Generator and UPS equipment. We offer a competitive rate of pay to applicants who display the required skills.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, your main duties will involve assisting our engineering staff with general labouring on customer sites and will vary on a daily basis depending on the Company requirements.
Your key responsibilities may include:
- Working alongside our engineers assisting with generator services and repairs on customers sites.
- Preparing equipment i.e. assembling, sorting, and testing
- Assisting in loading/unloading of Company vehicles
- Testing our lifting equipment and hydraulic equipment (Training provided).
- PAT testing workshop and office equipment (Training will be given)
The core requirements for this role are:
- Experience as a fitters mate with proven history within a mechanical industry.
- Good appreciation of Health & Safety
- Experience of working in a team environment
- Valid UK Driving licence.
- Travelling to our customer sites with our engineers will be a requirement with out of hours working which can involve stopovers due to the location of some of our customers sites.
- Overtime can be a requirement dependant on type of works.
