Job Role: Lead Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Weymouth

Hours: Full Time Monday to Friday

The Company offers a comprehensive, unrivalled capability across all precision engineering services to the aerospace, defence, and commercial sectors.

This role will include:

  • Support, implement and monitor all Quality Assurance systems to ensure compliance with AS9100 & AS9102 as well as all required company, customer and regulatory ruling and processes
  • Control MSE/Gauge R&R of all inspection equipment
  • Control of calibration and servicing of inspection equipment
  • Managing of offline programming to support production/inspection measurement and NPI Projects
  • Inspection team development and management of skills & training, including training of shop staff on inspection tools & techniques
  • Support company Red Table/RCCA activities
  • FAIR creation, control, sign-off and submittal

Skills and experience required:

  • Wide knowledge of product and processes used in the manufacture of aerospace parts and assemblies
  • FAIR & PPAP skills
  • Knowledge of AS, ISO and NADCAP standards
  • Champion / Lead continuous Improvement
  • Familiar with the use/programming of relevant equipment, CMM's, Faro Arms etc. (desirable)
  • Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail
