Major Recruitment is seeking a skilled and experienced Coach Builder to join our client's dynamic team in Glasgow, Coatbridge. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the construction and repair of custom coaches and commercial vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to further their career with a reputable company in the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construct and assemble coach bodies, including fitting body panels, doors, floors, and roofs.
- Repair and refurbish existing coach structures to meet client specifications.
- Work with various materials such as steel, aluminum, and fiberglass.
- Install internal fixtures and fittings, including seats, luggage racks, and other components.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
- Perform quality checks and ensure all work meets industry standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Coach Builder or in a similar role within the automotive or coachbuilding industry.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of various materials and construction techniques.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
