Refrigeration Design Engineer

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic design engineer to join our client’s technical department and assist with key roles within the business. The role is full time role based out of their office- in Kings Lynn, Norfolk.

Ideally, we need someone who can hit the ground running or has suitable skills. However, we value character and attitude highly, so if you have the right mindset but need training, we are willing to provide it. The salary is up to £50,000 but could stretch for the right candidate.

Design engineer role duties:

* The creation of refrigeration M&E schedules and refrigeration designs.

* Producing quotations and project costings.

* Compiling heat/load calculations.

* Calculating pipe sizes.

* Creating and reviewing specifications of refrigeration systems and components.

* Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers and reviewing specifications.

* Assisting with O&M’s.

* Assisting with PED packs.

* Creating BREEAM statements.

* Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, such as BS EN 378, and exceeding market standards.

The ideal candidate will have some of the following skills; however, additional training can be offered:

* Excellent people skills

* Good computer literacy

* The ability to work to tight deadlines

* High attention to detail

* Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative

* Some basic CAD experience (not essential)

* C&G 2079 (not essential)

* 7671 18th Edition (not essential)

* Electrical qualification or knowledge (not essential)

* Building services degree (not essential)

Design Engineer Package:

* The salary is up to £50,000 but could stretch for the right candidate.

* 25 days paid holiday plus public holidays

* Company pension scheme
