Job SummaryEurospeak is a British Council and ISI accredited School. We are looking for a EFL teacher to join our language school in Reading (UK). The role is a full-time, permanent contract (for students aged 18+)
We teach students from a range of nationalities including Saudi, Moroccan, Chinese, Spanish, Bulgarian, Brazilian, and Turkish, to name a few. We offer General English courses at A2 to C1 level and IELTS preparation.
Your role will involve ensuring that students receive the maximum benefit from their course by ensuring the highest possible level of academic standards in all aspects of the job to enhance the student learning experience.

1. General Tasks
Delivery of English Language Classes
Providing a welcoming and engaging classroom environment in which students of all backgrounds can thrive
Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons to young students
Preparing and setting classroom tests, homework tasks, and exercises
Marking and providing appropriate feedback on oral and written work
Use interactive whiteboards and associated software to maximize classroom learning opportunities
Regularly update the Virtual Classroom (Eurospeaks virtual learning environment) to encourage student ownership of independent learning
Supporting students joining the class at different times as per the continuous enrolment system

2. Teaching Administration
Completion of Record of Work on a daily basis
Completion of Tutorial meetings and subsequent Individual Learning Plans (chargeable at administration rate)
Updating the Progress Tracker for each student/class on a regular (weekly) basis.
Provide a reflection on student feedback (gathered twice a term)

3. Meetings and CPD
Attending and contributing to continuing professional development sessions
Attending weekly 5-minute briefings
Attending monthly academic staff meetings

4. School Policies
Completion of appropriate safeguarding and Prevent training and ensuring that Eurospeak Safeguarding policy is implemented at all times
Ensuring that Eurospeak School policies are implemented at all times

WORKING HOURS- 15 to 19 hours per week
Depending on the classes taught. the typical timetable is:
Morning Classes- 9.30 am to 12.45 pm
Afternoon Classes- 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm
Job Types: Full-time, PermanentQualificationsQualifications Required :
Applicants must have a degree and a CELTA/Cert Or a Trinity Cert TESOL. DELTA/DipTESOL or equivalent would be desirable.
Enhanced DBS check (this can be completed by the school if not already done, but employment is dependent on the outcome)
Able to implement a range of teaching techniques and methodologies to suit the student or group of students
Flexible and willing to embrace new challenges and opportunities for growth and development
Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work with a range of nationalities and cultures
Computer literate and able to work with various programs in the Microsoft Office package
Native or fully proficient speaker of English
