What you'll do

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Software Engineer in Test to join our Models Squad in the Bet Tribe. This squad develops and supports a group of high throughput low latency microservices that provide real time pricing data for football events for our sports betting customers.

As a Software Engineer in Test, you will...

  • Use your test analysis skills to evaluate user stories and define test criteria

  • Work closely with the team testing changes in development environments before releasing through to live

  • Actively contribute to the development, maintenance and execution of functional and operational tests for the suite of products owned by the squad

  • Contribute to all squad agile process ceremonies

  • Work independently or collaboratively on multiple tasks

How you'll do it

  • Be a strong advocate for testing within the squad

  • As the test specialist, provide guidance and support to all engineers in testing tasks

  • Analyse a range of available testing options to select the appropriate approach

  • Be able to frame complex or difficult issues when communicating with others to create clear choices or recommendations

  • Use Jira and Confluence to record test criteria and document results and test processes

  • Work with the Test Manager to identify and help drive test process improvement tasks

What experience we'd like you to have...

  • Framework design and development

  • Developing test solutions in Java, Javascript or Kotlin

  • Strong understanding of good industry practice â including coding/scripting standards

  • Strong Communication and Diplomacy skills

  • Agile working methodology â including use of typical tools, such as JIRA
