Position Overview:
Our Client is currently seeking a Conveyancing Paralegal to join their conveyancing department in Reading. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the management of residential property transactions under the guidance of experienced solicitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting solicitors in managing a caseload of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity. Conducting title checks, land registry searches, and other due diligence tasks to ensure the smooth progress of transactions. Drafting legal documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements, with precision and attention to detail. Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other stakeholders to provide updates and facilitate communication throughout the conveyancing process. Handling post-completion tasks, such as registration of title deeds and payment of stamp duty land tax, in compliance with regulatory requirements. Maintaining accurate records, managing files, and updating case management systems to monitor progress and ensure efficiency. Providing administrative support to solicitors and colleagues within the conveyancing department as required.Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience working as a conveyancing paralegal within a law firm or conveyancing department is essential. Thorough understanding of residential conveyancing procedures, including experience with leasehold and freehold transactions. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders. Proficiency in using case management software and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Relevant legal qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential.Benefits:
