Bury C of E High School has recently joined the Bishop Fraser Trust, a C of E multi academy trust established in 2017. Main Duties:

• To be the strategic lead for behaviour and attitudes in school, creating a culture and climate where all young people can learn and flourish. 

• Overall leadership of all pastoral teams including heads of year and form tutor teams. 

• To lead our whole school approach to safeguarding and to ensure we embed a culture of safeguarding across the school, working closely with the Trust Safeguarding Lead. 

• To shape and have strategic oversight of all aspects relating to personal development ensuring full engagement of students, working with our Trust lead on Personal Development. 

• To line manage the SEND department, ensuring both pastoral care and educational development for our SEND pupils is driven throughout the school.

 

The successful candidate will be someone who:

·        Has a genuine passion for quality learning, pastoral care and excellence and ensures that students are at the centre of every decision

·        Demonstrates personal resilience and role models those personal qualities we wish to instill in our young people

·        Is prepared to share good practice and actively seek to continue to explore ways to improve their own and others’ teaching and pastoral care
