We are looking for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics, who is interested in a potential TLR role, to join our over-subscribed school to join us from September 2024.

 

Mathematics is held in high regard at The Hollyfield School. Many go on to study Mathematics at A Level in our thriving sixth form. We are currently developing our knowledge-rich curriculum in conjunction with our partner Mathematics Faculties in the Trust in order to provide our students with a world class programme of study. The faculty has an excellent extra-curricular offering including; University visits, guest speakers, Numeracy week and the UK Mathematics Challenge with many of our students achieving Gold.

 

This post is suitable for an experienced teacher or an ECT who would receive excellent support from a hardworking and dedicated department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is committed to inspiring and motivating students through their innovative and engaging teaching.

 

The successful candidate will meet the following essential criteria:

●     QTS;

●     a broad base of subject knowledge;

●     the ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4 & 5;

●     a clear vision for a knowledge-rich curriculum;

●     a clear understanding of successful classroom practice and  

        evidence based teaching;

●     employs a range of teaching and learning strategies;

●     the ability to work effectively as part of a curriculum team;

●     the ability to maintain good classroom behaviour;

●     effective interpersonal skills;

●     able to demonstrate suitability to work with children and 

        young people.

 

Hollyfield is a beautiful school with a thriving sixth form, in the Surbiton area of Outer London. Excellent transport links enable our staff and young people to take full advantage of the wealth of opportunities that London provides. Hollyfield is part of the Every Child, Every Day Multi Academy Trust and we have strong relationships with our Trust partners. There is a distinct sense of community in the school. Pupils grow in confidence and learn to work together well as a result.’

 

The trust provides excellent subject-level support, CPD and Leadership CPD through several programmes externally and within the Trust. 

 

This role is ideal for an individual who is committed to helping our students achieve their very best. We want the best people for our roles, so while this is primarily a full time post, we recognise that sometimes those best suited to roles on offer aren’t available full time.
