Our client, a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation based in Weston-Super-Mare, is seeking a talented Group Financial Controller to join their team.As the Group Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of the company.Your responsibilities will include:Prepare and deliver timely and accurate monthly management accounts.Compile annual year-end trial balances and comprehensive business plans.Establish and maintain procedures that ensure accounting control and minimise working capital.Safeguard the Group’s assets and ensure financial integrity.Implementation and maintenance of strong financial controls.Collaborate with various stakeholders across the business to provide financial insights and support.Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure high performance and professional development.Cash and working capital management and cash forecasting.Monthly Group accounts consolidation.Balance Sheet Maintenance.Monthly VAT checks and preparation of quarterly submission.Annual budgeting.Undertake internal audit exercises and support preparation of year end accounts.Preparation of weekly Group KPI Analysis for weekly senior management meetings.Support senior management with ad-hoc projects. To be considered for the role of Group Financial Controller:Relevant accounting qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).Proven experience of managing a Finance Team.Good understanding of KPI’s and able to interpret management accounts to identify areas of improvement.Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.Experience within the Automotive sector is preferred but not essential.
