Job Description: Sr. Associate, Cybersecurity Analytics
The Enterprise Platforms & Security (EP&S) team delivers the following capabilities for Pfizer. Business application platforms supporting Pfizer's enterprise application and critical business processes. Infrastructure allowing business traffic to travel where it needs to go, internally and externally, along with the appropriate access controls. EP&S secures Pfizer's most important information assets through world class controls and protections and enables Pfizer's business results by making security an enabler and not a roadblock to achieving business results.
The Sr. Associate, Cybersecurity Analytics will be a key contributor in the Cybersecurity Analytics team, which provides big data capabilities, visualizations, advanced analytics, requirements consultancy and subject matter expertise to protect Pfizer from the ever-changing cyber threat landscape. The role has a data science focus (cyber data & analytics).
This role will collaborate closely with Global Information Security organization to ensure we are enabling them to best protect Pfizer and enabling Pfizer's purpose of breakthroughs that change patients' lives.
Based on site in Sandwich, Kent.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
Support analytics and predictive modeling projects using data mining, rigorous statistical methods and machine learning techniques on massive data sources solving real and immediate cybersecurity use cases.Develop and improve existing ways of merging petabyte scale data sources to understand the interaction of entities within cybersecurity logs.Assist teams in Global Information Security to understand the data sources they need and how that data should be used and analyzed.Be a Splunk, Google Chronicle and analytics expert assisting other teams and more junior colleagues.Design new visualizations to make descriptive analyses more intuitive and informative for additional modeling.Execute defined periodic review functions to ensure services operate as designed and identify inaccurate support documentation and assist with associated updates.Develop and execute against project plans as necessary to implement analytics improving Pfizer's global cybersecurity posture.Demonstrated experience in an agile work environment possessing qualities such as a collaborative mindset,Work Location Assignment: Sandwich (Kent, UK) with working flexibility optionsDemonstrated experience in an agile work environment possessing qualities such as a collaborative mindset, adaptability to change, and a proactive problem-solving approach
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Physics or Chemistry or Engineering, MS Preferred.entry-level experience working in the analytics fieldWillingness to contribute fresh and innovative ideasHigh technical aptitude; quickly learns new skillsChange agile; must act on projects quicklyTeam orientedExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent analytic and problem-solving skillsSkills/experience in data science: cyber data & analytics
