Setting Out Engineer

Apex Resources is working in with a well-known Civils Contractor based in Glasgow. They require an experienced Setting Out Engineer, for a civils package in Inverness area for 8 weeks starting on the 15/04/24.

Trimble total station experience is beneficial.

Hourly rate is 26ph.

Shifts will be 7am-7pm

As a Freelance Site Engineer,

you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the engineering aspects of the civils package.

This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can ensure the project is executed to the highest standards within the specified timeframe.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather relevant project data.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to guide construction activities.
• Set out and level the site using advanced surveying equipment. Monitor and manage site health and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders for smooth project execution.
• Provide technical advice and support to the project team.
• Maintain accurate records of site activities and submit regular progress reports.
• Ensure work is carried out in compliance with quality standards and specifications.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience as a Site Engineer in civil engineering projects.
• Proficient in the use of surveying equipment and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
