Quick is subsidiary of Kuehne + Nagel and weâre looking to recruit a Warehouse Supervisor for our client site in Colnbrook, near Heathrow. Your Role You will play a pivotal role in supporting the Warehouse Manager in assisting with daily operations, overseeing team performance and ensuring the smooth functioning of the warehouse. Your Responsibilities
  • Encourage Team-Work, cooperation and a good working atmosphere within the department
  • Assist the Manager in administering all appropriate disciplinary procedures
  • Supporting the Warehouse manager with the monitoring of temperature controlled areas
  • Assist the Manager in ensuring that there is adequate staffing & cover for holidays & sickness
  • Delegate some or all tasks, administrative or operational, as appropriate within the department.
  • Carry out Team training using internal SOPS
  • Maintaining a high level of communication and leadership with the night shift
  • To work collaboratively with all internal departments to ensure maximum client satisfaction
Your Skills and Experiences
  • Comprehensive understanding of Courier / Freight Operations including Import / Export / Warehouse & Transport.
  • Teamwork skills and strong self-motivation
  • Good numeric / financial ability
  • Ability to work successfully under pressure
  • Management skills
  • Good computer skills, Word / Excel / PowerPoint essential 
  • Knowledge of health and safety at work
