OVERVIEW

The Programme and Project Partners (PPP) model was mobilised in 2019 with the purpose of transforming major project delivery at the Sellafield nuclear site.

The partnership brings together KBR, Jacobs, Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, Altrad Babcock and Sellafield Ltd to deliver a 20-year pipeline of major infrastructure projects to support the decommissioning of Sellafield and to create a clean and safe environment for future generations.

In delivering its pipeline of large-scale infrastructure projects, PPP is creating opportunities for its people, supply chain, economy and communities.

KBRâs rapidly growing nuclear team of teams is working at the forefront of the UKâs nuclear space on some of the most exciting new-build, defence and decommissioning programmes.

Test Engineer

Location:            Warrington / Cumbria, 2 / 3 days per week on site with travel to opposite site potentially once per month

Job Description: The role is part of the PPP support to the Digital Asset Management (DAM) programme within Sellafield. The PPP support to DAM is an integrated project team with members from PPP and Sellafieldâs asset management capability.

The DAM programme is a site wide delivery improvement programme supporting Sellafieldâs improvement requirements, the programme aims to address a number of issues with Sellafieldâs asset management arrangements with a targeted outcome of: âAn integrated information line of sight from the asset through to the enterprise that integrates activities across the asset lifecycle, removes the burden of paper-based work processes from our teams and engages everyone in the use of modern digital technologies to inform decision makingâ

Role Responsibilities:

The Test Engineer will be responsible for the testing of the project solution, including the production of any related documentation and the management of the tests.

Main duties include:

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Develop test strategy for workflow deployment using Intelligent Business Process management tools.

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Construct Test Plans for workflow deployment using Intelligent Business Process management tools, including integration with other data sources and applications.

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Develop sentencing criteria.

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Produce test scripts for unit test, integration test, infrastructure test, system test.

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Manage or undertake unit test, integration test, infrastructure test, system test.

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Hold Test readiness reviews.

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Manage User Acceptance Test (UAT).

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Manage Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Set templates for, draft and or review test reports.

Specific: 

The Test Engineers works closely within the PPP Digital Delivery Team, Sellafieldâs Asset Management Capability & ISO, and other stakeholders to ensure that all requirements for testing are understood, the testing designed in line with the requirements, testing carried our appropriately, and all related documentation is produced in a timely fit-for-purpose fashion.

Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

Essential:

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Experience of projects within the Civil Nuclear Sector.

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Experience of functional and non-functional testing.

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Experience of testing / verification and validation (V&V) with the systems engineering V Model methodology.

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Hybrid waterfall and agile delivery projects.

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Support the engagement-with and contribute to the work of cross-functional teams to ensure that customer and user needs are being met throughout the deliverable/scope of work.

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Presentation of complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences when engaging with colleagues, users/customers, suppliers and partners.

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Application of creative or innovative thinking and design practises in identifying solutions that will deliver value for the benefit of the customer/stakeholder.

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Be able to work with minimal levels of supervision.

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Experience sharing knowledge and experience in own specialism to help others.

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Proven ability to collaborate with team members and a wide range of people.

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Hold or be capable of obtaining government clearance (SC/SL â Nuclear).

Desirable:

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Experience in projects to capture, optimisation, leaning and deployment of asset management.

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Experience of project at or for Sellafield Ltd

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Experience of working with Sellafield Ltd, Nuclear Decommissioning Agency, or similar.

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Support the facilitation of collaboration between stakeholders who share common objectives.

â¢Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Support the management of organisations, customers, suppliers, partners and peers
