      A day in the life of…

      As Maintenance Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering a great guest experience by working on your own initiative to ensure that the hotel is always operating at the highest standards. You will work alongside and manage a part-time Maintenance Assistant. You will manage all proactive and reactive maintenance, external contractors, and hotels teams in line with the departmental budget. You will support HOD’s to ensure all teams are correctly trained in the use of equipment and health & safety standards within the hotel.

      What do we need from you?

      To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess previous experience in a hotel or similar management role. You should also be able to display a strong knowledge of health and safety platforms and online reporting. Additionally, be able to deliver hotel team fire and emergency training sessions.

      What do we need from you?

      Your role is key, in order for us to achieve 100% guest satisfaction and profitability. We are looking for someone that is confident, efficient, and passionate in the delivery of maintaining an excellent hotel.

      Role Responsibilities: 

       

    •  Hands-on maintenance with a love for DIY.
  •  Good understanding of fire safety
 Knowledge of building management/engineering  Health Safety Level 3 or IOSH qualification essential (training will be provided)  Legionella awareness for duty holders is essential. (training will be provided)  Exposure to budgeting and basic accounting  Proactively manage daily maintenance defects to ensure they are completed prior to the   arrival of the next guest.  Strong leadership skills and previous experience of managing people.  Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.  Ability to work under pressure.  Ability to work on their own.  A clean driver's license is essential to the role due to the location of the Hotel. Manage all external contracts, maintaining relationships with suppliers. Manage and negotiate contracts in line with Aimbridge policies. Maintain exceptional standards and compliance. Lead external audits, Health & Safety, Fire, Water and Hilton brand audits. Attend external training as required. Carry out hotel team health, safety, and fire training.

Role Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role. You will love to keep busy. Have exceptional attention to detail. You should be familiar with Microsoft Office packages and be computer literate. You must have excellent customer service skills and love team working. You must have a good command of the English language and communication skills. Actively seek solutions when faced with challenges.
