Peterborough, United Kingdom City of Peterborough Academy Part time
We are looking for an Exam Invigilator to join our friendly team and supervise pupils, ensuring a perfect environment during the exam periods for written and online examinations.

You must be able to work between the school hours of 8.30am and 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, during exam periods to cover all exams across the school. This role is a casual, zero-hour contract with hours and days of work subject to the timings of each exam and will involve the invigilation of individuals and groups of learners undertaking written exams or online tests.

The successful Exam Invigilator will be able to work with large and small groups of students in an exam setting, relate positively to all learners, be extremely diligent and adaptable, and have good verbal communication skills.

The ability to organise and run exams and instruct exam candidates in an exams hall environment is also necessary.

About us

Opened in September 2013 by the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT) after a £13.8m capital build, we are based on Reeves Way in Peterborough and have quickly gone from strength to strength.

A dedicated team of staff aim to help support every child in reaching their full potential. Additionally, we have been described as a truly ‘inclusive school’ at our recent National Inclusion Quality Mark inspection and have also been awarded 'Centre of Excellence Status'. We were also runners-up at the 2020 National SEN awards for National Most Inclusive Practice.

Both our Academy and the Greenwood Academies Trust are committed to supporting pupils and staff alike. Providing pupils with the highest quality of education is of the utmost importance, but we recognise that in order to achieve this, teachers and staff must be properly supported with strong leadership, a climate of trust, research and innovation, and ongoing CPD opportunities.

In return

Being part of the GAT, you can be assured that you will be joining a successful Multi-Academy Trust that has a great track record in helping children to succeed, no matter what their background. The Trust is dedicated to valuing and developing the workforce, whether that be through ensuring a fair workload or offering access to bespoke CPD from the Learning Alliance to enhance professional growth.

We believe in looking after the people who make a huge difference to our children, their families and the communities we serve. That’s why we give everyone who joins a Perkbox account – with 24/7 access to perks and discounts, plus curated wellbeing tools to look after your physical and mental health. It’s part of our commitment to look after you.
