We are currently recruiting for a Nightwear Designer to create, design and develop a credible range adhering to current trends which meet customer & market requirements.

“Find your role”

Ownership for range construction including design & range building process.Awareness of departmental profit, sales & highest markdown lines.Responsible for creating department product strategy with guidance from Design Manager. Demonstrates strategic thinking, drives innovative & market leading ideas into product ranges and store environment.Drives the George consistent way of working & WAGJLL formats.Delivery and setting of hit rate on department with guidance from Design Manager.Research, collate & identify key trends, shape, fabric & colour for department and ensures they are in ranges.Prepares and presents in the production & delivery of the design presentation.Demonstrates strong awareness of market trends and competitor ranges.Completion of regular inspirational shop reports.Proactive production of design packs to agreed standard in-line with the critical path.Accountable for design & product presentation in key departmental meetings i.e. Base Plan, Range Build, RBSO, Selection & Product Reviews.Responsible for ranking with buying & merchandising, taking into account department history & trends.Direct product development with supply base, understands garment construction and its effect on lead-time and cost.Understands supply base capabilities.Drives Ethical Trading at George and supply base.Attends Design The Legal Way and adheres to legal requirements
