Groundworker in Abergele

We are looking for a suitably experienced operatives to carry out a full range of horticulture and ground work operations throughout the County Borough.

It is essential requirement of the post that you have experience in the delivery of sound horticultural practices and grounds works.

Candidates should be self-motivated, able to engage courteously with the public and must have a full driving licence.

Job Purpose:

To carry out a range of general gardening, grounds and cleansing duties in public parks, playing fields, landscaped areas, nurseries and open spaces.

Duties and Responsibilities - Job Specific

To carry out general grass cutting and edging, hedge trimming, minor tree works, clearance of leaves and litter, shrub and flowerbed maintenance.

To assist in on-site construction works including both hard and soft landscaping.

To undertake the general cleansing of areas.

To operate a range of powered hand tools and light plant, and the operation of tractor mounted equipment.

To drive, and be responsible for a vehicle where this is allocated.

To comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act including the wearing of appropriate PPE.

To complete all necessary paperwork.

If necessary to work any five out of seven days between 7am and 7pm.
