Key Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Oversee all cost management aspects of high-value inner city projects as a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
- Lead and mentor an Assistant Quantity Surveyor (AQS) working alongside you.
- Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets and cost plans.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis and financial reporting.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and relevant legislation.
- Assess and manage project risks and opportunities.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Prepare and present detailed progress reports and financial statements.
- Support the project team in achieving project milestones and objectives.
What we're Looking For in a Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Extensive experience with high rise projects is essential.
- Prior experience working with a Tier 1 contractor is highly advantageous.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in cost management software and tools.
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is preferred.
- Professional membership with RICS or similar is desirable.
