About the role .

To audit and support technical compliance and integrity against legal requirements and good manufacturing standards

Role Accountabilities
  • Audit: Develop and maintain procedures and schedules to monitor compliance with relevant internal and external food safety standards. Ensure appropriate action plans are documented and delivered within agreed timescales to address any non-compliance identified
  • Customer: Ensure customer interface, internally and externally, is managed professionally and in a timely manner. Participate in and contribute to Retailer initiatives and provide an interface for any cross site issues.
  • Technical standards: Ensure relevant standards are developed, communicated, understood and applied to meet Food Safety, Quality and Legality. Provides leadership and ownership for the Central Technical Quality Management System
  • Communication: Effectively manages communication on all Technical matters both internally and externally, to develop relationships and ensure that Bakkavor Technical opinion is considered and respected
  • Management & Support: Provide technical support to Bakkavor sites as required. Utilise knowledge and expertise to exploit potential Bakkavor opportunities. Communicate Technical best practice where identified to maintain and support Bakkavor reputation as leading fresh food manufacturer.
  • People: Available to provide practical support to Bakkavor Technical recruitment processes, including AMS and Apprenticeships. Participate in mentoring and supporting PDP / CPD plans.
  • KPI: Develop and implement effective KPIs that measure, trend and identify issues to be communicated both internally and with customers. Develop and agree action plans using root cause analysis to deliver continuous improvement
  • Training: Provide training to develop understanding of food safety and relevant legal requirements for UK businesses
  • Health and Safety: To operate in a safe working manner and support the site on continuous improvements relating to health and safety.
