Company Overview: Our client is looking for a site manager as they put the finishing touches on a modern apartment block located in the city of Reading. They are committed to delivering exceptional quality and craftsmanship, ensuring that residents experience the utmost comfort and satisfaction. As a Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the final stages of this exciting project.
Position Overview: They are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the completion of the internal works for our new build apartment block in Reading. This is a 6-month contract position focused on ensuring that the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained throughout the final stages of the project.
Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate all on-site activities related to the internal finishing of the apartment block. Supervise subcontractors and tradespeople to ensure work is completed to specifications and within deadlines. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards. Coordinate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to resolve any issues that may arise. Maintain accurate records of progress, materials, and expenditures. Implement and enforce strict safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on site.Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role in the construction industry, preferably with a focus on residential projects. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Valid CSCS card and SMSTS certificate. First Aid certification is desirable.Location: Reading, Berkshire, United Kingdom
Duration: 6-month contract position, with the possibility of extension based on project needs.
