Town Planner or Senior Town Planner
Location: Leicester
The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Town Planner or Senior Town Planner to join a Town Planning Consultancy based in Leicester. In this role, you'll work on a variety of exciting projects, from residential developments and commercial ventures to heritage conservation and strategic master planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and submitting planning applications, appeals, and reports
- Liaising with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders
- Conducting site appraisals and feasibility studies
- Preparing planning policy and development strategies
- Providing expert advice on heritage, conservation, and environmental considerations
- Representing clients at public consultations, hearings, and planning committees
About You:
- A relevant degree in Town Planning or a related field
- Chartered membership of the RTPI (or working towards chartership)
- Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and processes
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Experience in managing multiple projects and clients
- Self-motivated with strong organizational abilities
- Senior applicants should have a proven track record of handling complex planning applications and appeals
