Taylor Root have recently partnered with a leading London city law firm in their search for an experienced Paralegal to join their Corporate team in London. This role is being offered on a permanent basis.
The Firm
Our client is a leading law firm based in London which has operated for over 90 years. They are a full service practice however they are known for their expertise in corporate and commercial. Clients range from Fortune 500 companies to Premier League football clubs to large family-owned property groups to entrepreneurial businesses in a range of business sectors.
The Team
One of the largest and fastest growing teams internally, our clients Corporate practice work closely with consultancies, digital agencies, technology providers, and professional services businesses and high-profile corporate clients and investment companies on a range of corporate transactions. This team is currently ranked in Tier 2 in London.
The Role
If successful, your responsibilities will include providing legal support to the Partners and Associates on the following:
- Handling a wide rage of company administration and post completion work, including Companies House filings, PSC registers, updating company registers and preparation of completion bibles.
- Setting up and managing online data rooms on transactions, liaising with clients and other professionals to collate, review and load relevant materials.
- General due diligence work.
- Drafting board minutes, shareholder resolutions and simple agreements.
- Assisting on disclosure exercises on sale-side transaction.
- Collation of conditions precedent on finance transactions.
- Incorporating companies and related start up administration.
- Carrying out research tasks.
- Assisting other members of the corporate/commercial department generally.
The Ideal Candidate
The firm are looking for someone who has prior corporate experience with responsibilities similar to the above. Ideally this will have been gained from another top city law firm in London. You will at least 12 months of prior experience and will have a law degree or equivalent conversion.
