Main Function of Role:

Federated Hermes Private Equity is looking for a senior professional to cover an Investor Relations Vice President position during maternity leave (12 months). The Vice President will report directly to the COO, working in close collaboration with another Investor Relations Vice President.

The Investor Relations team is responsible for meeting the demands of some 50+ clients of the Global Private Equity business with over $6bn of AUM. Investor Relations operate with laser focus on the client experience. The candidate will be a team player who is confident liaising with stakeholders (internal and external) across all levels.

Key task and responsibilities:

  • Management of day-to-day client servicing process:
  • and managing an action list of tasks, ensuring all deliverables are completed in a timely and accurate manner;
  • update meetings and projects – preparation of materials and attendance
  • of information in response to LP follow-up requests from LPs
  • with investors for the purpose of responding to their queries and on-boarding investors into the Fund(s)
  • written client communication, working in close collaboration with legal, e.g.; first close announcements, Fund Term extensions, requests for LPA amendments.
  • of fundraising materials including PPMs, DDQs, pitchbooks, case studies, ad-hoc data request and data room files
  • Analyst and Associates in the creation of documents, as necessary, and responsible for final review
  • oversight of IR Analyst and Associates’ output
  • to formal compliance review processes
  • of RFP submissions produced by the RFP team alongside IR Analysts and Associates
  • with the Press Team; writing corporate announcements, new deal announcements, awards submissions.
  • hoc attendance at fundraising meetings or due diligence meetings alongside senior professionals in the Investment Team and / or Sales
  • with Marketing and the Strategy team on the writing of thought pieces published each quarter on private equity-related themes.
  • reporting oversight:
  • in the collation, drafting, preparation and review of qualitative elements of quarterly investor reporting, in particular investment write-ups
  • in managing the relationship with respect to administrator’s provision of data for inclusion in investor reports as applicable

Candidate Profile:

  • Educated to degree level with strong academic background.
  • professional qualification is beneficial i.e. chartered financial analyst / chartered accountant / equivalent financial or legal qualification.
  • of fund accounting/operations or administration within Private Markets beneficial
  • in Microsoft Office applications and Salesforce
  • interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal English;
  • build relationships and across the business at all levels to ensure multiple stakeholders’ expectations are managed and met.
  • to manage cross-functional projects involving multiple teams and professionals of varying degrees of seniority.
  • minded and comfortable understanding financial / performance terminology
  • ability to transform financial performance details into investor-friendly messages.
  • manager; good at planning and highly skilled at prioritising and executing tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  • work ethic and proven ability to thrive in a collaborative, ‘can-do’ culture.
