Job Description An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Asset Performance (AP) Team. You’ll take an active role in managing our Flood Risk Assets which includes Public Safety assessments on assets, data management and communicating with the public and other stakeholders. In addition to this your work area’s may include supporting projects and travelling across East Anglia (EAN) to support other AP teams when required. Your work will be varied, and you will be supported to grow your skills, knowledge and experience in your role. This role requires a diverse range of transferrable skills. Working closely with other colleagues and teams, across a range or work areas such as public safety risk assessments and compliance, data input and improvement, maintenance contractors, work planning, asset repair projects and supporting paperwork, working with communities and partners and, incident response. The role will involve travelling to multiple sites around East Anglia. A vehicle will be available for you to use for business travel, so a full UK Driving Licence is essential. The team The Asset Performance Teams sit within the Flood and Coastal Risk Management Department in Local Operations. The Asset Performance teams look after a wide range of flood risk assets and main river catchments that include strategically important assets with the aim of protecting People, Property and communities from flood risk. Experience/skills Required Essential: Excellent communication skills. Desire to learn and participate in improving ways of working. Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with internal and external customers. An appreciation of asset management. Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team to make decisions and achieve planned outcomes. Good organisational skills and a knowledge of a range of IT packages such as MS Office and generic databases. Full UK driving licence It would be helpful, but not essential, if you had: Experience of handling asset data and reporting on performance. Experience of managing contractors. Asset management qualifications. Competence 2 Assets Management Description In the Asset Performance Team, we are responsible for the health and condition of our assets. Please provide an example of a time when you have had to take action to complete unplanned maintenance, or an unplanned repair of an asset (of any kind) and how this was actioned. How did you incorporate your action into the asset life cycle and what was the outcome? Competence 3 Embraces Change Description In the Asset performance team you will need to work flexibly, be adaptable and manage changing workloads or priorities. Role specific license requirements Driving Licence - Eligibility for lease cars is made based on the role and this one does NOT qualify.
