OVERVIEW
At RFIDentikit we have a mission to deliver seamless accreditation, security, tracking and management tools to event organisers across the globe by developing and deploying flexible, powerful and dependable technology solutions.
As Business Development Director you will work closely with the CEO as an integral part of the Senior Leadership of RFIDentikit. You will develop client relationships across a range of exciting and growing events markets spread across the globe and use your insights from these relationships to inform the business development strategy that you will own alongside the CEO, to deliver sustainable revenue growth.
Close collaboration with the Projects (Delivery) Team and Technical Development will be essential to ensure technical product and delivery are meeting the needs of the market.
OBJECTIVES
- Build MARKET VISIBILITY , in line with the vision of RFIDentikit’s market position and value proposition.
- Nurture EXISTING CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS to maintain and develop the relationship and grow revenue from these clients.
- Identify and establish relationships with POTENTIAL CLIENTS to build new revenue streams in line with a clear strategy for sales growth.
- Collect analyze and present DATA & REPORTING on market trends and sales performance.
- Build COLLABORATION WITH PROJECTS TEAM to harness project knowledge and leverage client relationships.
- Ensure current and anticipated future client needs FEED INTO TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT , to guide roadmap and prioritization to match market trends.
- Enhance PROPOSAL & PITCH QUALITY to market leading levels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading Business Development and Marketing function to support the sales process and building market visibility.
- Working with the CEO and Senior Leadership team to develop live and evolving Business Development and Marketing strategy which builds on RFIDentikit’s strengths and past successes and harnesses the opportunities of changing markets.
- Supporting visibility in the market by attending trade shows as events forums.
- Visiting existing and potential new clients, in line with the business development strategy, to build and maintain strong relationships and to understand their needs.
- Using market research and other data sources to identify market trends, competitive landscape and opportunities.
- Maintaining accurate and complete information into CRM to create and harness value of activity and pipeline reports.
- Establishing and delivering on Revenue KPIs for new and existing clients.
- Collaborating with Projects (Delivery) and Technical Development Teams to build personal expertise in RFIDentikit’s Product and Service offering, to understand and anticipate client needs and feet these into the development roadmap.
- Working closely with Projects Team to fully capitalize on existing client relationships.
- Orchestrating Business Development and other internal teams to respond with high quality, effective proposals and pitches to clients.
SKILLS, QUALITIES, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years client facing experience within the live events industry, with understanding of market dynamics and proven track history of developing B2B relationships.
- Experience in selling or delivery of technology solutions.
- Familiarity with the full business development and sales cycle, from prospecting to negotiation & closing.
- Proven at establishing business KPIs - thrives on consistently delivering against these.
- Commercial acumen to understand and effectively influence financial objectives and reporting.
- Track history of establishing and delivering on market needs.
- Knowledge and potentially experience of key marketing activities that help drive sales.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
- Proven ability to understand needs, build rapport and trust with potential clients.
- Adaptability and a collaborative mindset to harness the full potential of the RFIDentikit team is essential.
- Comfortable using sales tools, CRM systems, and other technology to streamline sales processes.
- A degree in business, sales & marketing or a relevant technology area is desirable but not essential.
