Blair West are supporting Advanced with the search to appoint a Financial Controller in the North East. Advanced is a world-leading specialist fire equipment manufacturer passionate about delivering fire protection and peace of mind. Their products are trusted around the world for their performance, quality, and ease of use, with sales in over 80 countries. Following an acquisition in 2014, Advanced became part of FTSE 100-listed Halma Plc. The successful candidate will report to the Finance Director and lead a small team of five.
Leading a team of 5 people to deliver accurate financial information and providing financial counsel and support across the organisation.
Develop the finance team to ensure it becomes a higher-performing team.
Delivery of weekly, monthly and annual statutory financial reporting.
Ensuring robust financial controls are in place across all businesses to maintain the financial integrity and control of the operation.
Help to identify the critical business drivers that are key in developing the business. Consider how evolving technologies and data analytics can be incorporated or added to the current business systems to drive business performance and growth.
A qualification in accountancy (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with suitable PQE and IFRS/GAAP knowledge.
A questioning and challenging mindset to information and data.
The ability to lead and motivate a finance team of five (including both qualified/part-qualified colleagues).
