Job Title: RE Teacher Location: Wigan Start Date: September 2024 Salary: £180-£200 per day (dependant on experience) Are you a passionate and dedicated RE Teacher with a proven track record in strong behaviour management? We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Secondary School RE Teacher to join an OFSTED rated 'Good' school in Wigan. This is a temporary position starting September up until at the end of the academic year. Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and preparing RE lessons up to KS4 level.
  • Utilize strong behaviour management strategies to ensure a conducive atmosphere for learning.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic and personal development.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall success of the RE department and the school.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE in Secondary Education. Must specialise in RE
  • A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate or a willingness to obtain one before starting.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Exceptional behaviour management skills to create a positive and focused learning environment.
  • Ability to use a range of workshop tools and equipment and have a working understanding of how they are maintained
  • Plan, prepare and deliver RE lessons up till KS4
