Financial Planning & Analysis Lead South West (Hybrid - 2 days on-site)

Our client is a UK business operating at the forefront of sustainable infrastructure and long-term innovation. With significant investment, ambitious growth plans, and major strategic initiatives underway, they’re strengthening the finance function with the appointment of a commercially minded FP&A Lead.
With their expected growth trajectory, the need for robust planning, forward-looking analysis, and clear financial insight has never been greater. You’ll be the person who brings structure, challenge, and clarity to senior leadership—transforming data into decisions that shape the future of the business.
You’ll own and lead the full FP&A agenda, ensuring the organisation has a clear, accurate, and insight-driven view of its performance and trajectory:
Lead the annual planning and budgeting process with senior management.
Take ownership of forecasting and guide business leaders through performance against targets.
Build and maintain scenario models, sensitivities, and forward-looking analysis.
Own and develop the organisation’s financial model.
Contribute to strategic initiatives including potential investment activity, commercial evaluations, and long-term funding requirements.
Prepare high-quality Board and leadership presentations.
Act as a genuine strategic finance partner—supporting pricing decisions, project evaluations, and investment cases across the organisation.
You’ll be a proactive, analytical finance professional who enjoys combining detail with big-picture thinking:
Demonstrable financial modelling capability.
Confidence presenting to senior leaders and explaining financial information simply.
Experience with BI and reporting tools to enhance speed and quality of insight.
Clear, improved MI that enhances business-wide understanding.
