Senior Software Engineer – We have been exclusively engaged by a leading ClimateTech business to find them a contract Senior Software Engineer who will join their App Platform team to provide deep expertise of APIs, specifically using Typescript and GraphQL. They are a Data company who analyse and process very complex and varied data sets. The App Platform team are responsible for the APIs which take the unstructured data and allow this to presented as useful insights on the front end.

The App Platform team have been working on migrating the APIs from REST to GraphQL and, as a Senior Software Engineer, you will help in the definition, refinement and evolution of the API design to ensure the data is efficiently exposed, accessed and integrated across multiple domains. This is a key strategic project which will have significant impact on their growth plans for 2024 and you will work closely with the Principal Engineer and the CTO to deliver this.

Tech Stack - Typescript/Node and GraphQL on AWS with Python for Data.

The Senior Software Engineer will need to demonstrate expertise in some of the following:

In-depth knowledge of Typescript/Node and GraphQL, especially the design and build of APIs.
An understanding of how to solve challenges of implementing data product APIs.
Experience of Domain-Driven Design or Data Mesh architecture would be a plus.

This is a hugely exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to work with a leading ClimateTech business on an interesting, critical project.
