Position: Network Engineer with SDWAN Deployment Experience

Location: Hybrid, with 1 day per week required in Bristol

Contract Duration: 6 months

Day Rate: £650 Inside IR35

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with specific experience in deploying SDWAN solutions to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. This role requires a strong understanding of network architectures and hands-on experience with SDWAN, particularly with solutions provided by VeloCloud through AT&T. The ideal candidate will also have experience with Fortigate, specifically with VDOM exposure (excluding Fortigate SDWAN).

This role involves working closely with our IT and network teams to ensure the successful deployment and management of our SDWAN infrastructure, improving our network efficiency, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage SDWAN solutions, specifically VeloCloud through AT&T, across our network.
  • Work with Fortigate Firewalls and have familiarity with VDOMs, ensuring security practices are integrated with our SDWAN deployment.
  • Collaborate with IT and network teams to identify requirements, design solutions, and troubleshoot issues related to SDWAN deployment and network performance.
  • Conduct regular network performance monitoring and optimization activities to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Document network configurations, changes, and processes related to SDWAN deployment.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders regarding SDWAN technologies and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in network engineering with a focus on SDWAN deployment.
  • Specific experience with VeloCloud SDWAN solutions provided through AT&T is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Fortigate and an understanding of VDOM configurations.
  • Strong knowledge of network architectures, protocols, and security practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Flexibility to travel to Bristol 1 day per week for team meetings and on-site activities.
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
