Group Finance and Investment Director - Lincolnshire

Andy File Associates Limited is working as a Recruitment Agency on behalf of our client with regards this permanent position.

From future-proofed homes to zero-carbon energy, They lead from the front to design how we will live tomorrow. To deliver the mission, our client needs a commercial strategy and internal operating model to identify opportunities, innovate solutions and execute to deliver value both to investors and the environment.

With this in mind, they are now seeking a highly motivated Group Finance & Investment Director to join their team and lead efforts in securing lending and equity funding for their ambitious projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategic Management

  • Leadership to the board for Finance Strategy and Operating Structure
  • Funding Strategy Delivery & Optimisation
  • Financial Risk Management
  • Research and identify potential lending and equity funding opportunities for ESG projects, both domestically and internationally.
  • Stay informed about government funding programs and initiatives supporting renewable energy and sustainability projects.

Finance Function

  • Internal and external financial statement delivery
  • Cash Flow controls and monitoring
  • Systematic data capture to support decision making

Stakeholder Management

  • Identification and relationship management of Funding Partners
  • Management of other external relationships 
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with Joint Venture Capitalists, institutional investors, and key players in the equity funding markets.
  • Collaborate with financial institutions, private equity firms, and other funding sources to secure partnerships and investment commitments.

Develop Funding Proposals:

  • Prepare comprehensive and compelling funding proposals to attract investment for ESG projects.
  • Customize proposals to meet the specific criteria of various funding sources and investors.
  • Work closely with internal teams to gather necessary information for due diligence processes.
  • Collaborate with legal and financial experts to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.

Negotiate Funding Terms:

  • Lead negotiations with potential lenders and investors to secure favorable terms for funding agreements.
  • Work to optimize financial structures that align with the goals of both the organization and funding partners.

Stay Informed on Industry Trends:

  • Stay abreast of trends and developments in renewable lending, equity funding, and the ESG space.
  • Analyze market conditions and provide strategic insights to the leadership team.

Qualifications & Experience preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in fundraising, finance, or a related field, with a focus on renewable energy projects.
  • Extensive network in the financial industry, including Joint Venture Capitalists, institutional investors, and equity funding markets.
  • Strong understanding of ESG principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
