About the Company: TEXO Recruitment are looking to recruit a Design Engineer on behalf of our external construction client located in Enfield, London, on a Permanent basis. This client are a specialist contractor for SFS, rainscreen cladding, insulated render and curtain walling with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results across the UK. Job Summary: As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and managing detailed construction designs for both Recladding, New Build & Thruwall projects. You will collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure that designs meet client specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Duties and Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for reclad projects using CAD software.
  • Collaborate with project teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Conduct site assessments and surveys to gather necessary data for design accuracy.
  • Ensure designs comply with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team during project execution.
  • Review and approve design modifications and construction submittals.
  • Coordinate with external consultants and stakeholders as necessary.
  • Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure design integrity and safety.
  • Prepare project documentation, including design reports, calculations, and specifications.
  • Participate in project meetings and present design concepts and progress to clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a design engineering role within the construction industry, preferably with a focus on Reclad Works, New Build & Thruwall projects.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
  • Strong understanding of building regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards it is desirable.
