We are working in partnership with a leading, multi award winning, global law firm which is now looking to develop its intellectual property team further. The team is led by some of the UKs market leading experts who specialise in patent litigation across both life sciences and technology. Due to a strong pipeline of work, the team is now looking to hire a Senior Associate. The focus of this role will be on patent litigation. /ppYou will have the chance to work on patent litigation cases in the English courts, appeal proceedings at the European Patent Office and work on multi-jurisdictional litigation. This position will be well suited to an experienced Associate that is looking to take a step up within their career, or a Senior Associate that would like to join a leading practice.

/ppstrongResponsibilities

/strong/pul liAble to adapt quickly and get to grips with the technical aspects of a matter

/liliAnalysing Patents to identify validity and infringement arguments

/liliDrafting pre-action correspondence

/liliDrafting applications and their supporting evidence

/liliLegal research

/liliLiaising with the courts, other tribunals and with foreign counsel

/liliGet involved with Business Development

/liliSupporting the advocates prior to and at hearings

/liliCommunicating with the client as to progress of matters and to take instructions

/li/ul PstrongRequirements

/strong/pul li6+ years PQE

/liliA STEM degree, preferably in a life science. /liliExcellent written and oral communication skills

/liliStrong technical and commercial abilities

/liliExcellent organisational and time management skills

/liliAn understanding of working across cultural boundaries
