Title: Construction Planner Location: Greater Manchester Salary: £60-75,000 + car allowance + package This is an excellent opportunity for a Construction Planner to join a busy and well-established main contractor in Greater Manchester, working within an experienced and collaborative planning team. The company has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality building projects across the North West and is now looking to strengthen its planning capability as part of continued growth. As a Construction Planner, you will be involved in both tender and contract stages across a varied portfolio of projects including commercial, industrial, residential, and public-sector schemes. You will support the full planning lifecycle, ensuring programmes are realistic, well-sequenced, and aligned with both project and client expectations. This role offers genuine variety, with a blend of site-based work, time in the Greater Manchester regional office, and flexible remote working, giving you hands-on exposure to both pre-construction activities and live project delivery. Key Responsibilities Develop, monitor, and update tender and contract programmes using Asta Powerproject Work closely with project teams to gather progress updates and ensure programmes remain accurate and achievable Assist in preparing method statements, logistics plans, and construction sequencing for bids Attend site meetings and review progress, identifying risks, delays, and opportunities for improvement About You Experienced Construction Planner or Site Manager / Project Manager looking for a move into planning Strong site-based experience gained on building projects within a main contracting environment Good working knowledge of Asta Powerproject Understanding of construction methodology and sequencing across typical building schemes Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with site, design, and commercial teams A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail Offer £60-75,000 per annum Company car or car allowance of £6,000 per annum Pension, Healthcare, Life Assurance, Private medical insurance 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays Varied workload covering both pre-construction and delivery stages Supportive environment with ongoing training and career development Plus other great benefits If you are looking for a new career challenge in planning and you would like to be considered for the above opportunity then please apply by sending your CV to matt.lilburn@goldgroup.co.uk or call Matt Lilburn on 01342 330 533 for further information quoting reference 72318.
