As an experienced Network - System Administrator, you are responsible for a number of core tasks for the IT of Active Ants' logistics centres in Nieuwegein, Roosendaal, Willebroek (B), Dorsten (D), Northampton (UK) and a growing number of foreign warehouses. To this end, you work closely with your fellow Network and System Administrators. Running and managing our network environments optimally is the most important task in this position. Within your team, you will contribute to various projects. Active Ants currently has 5 warehouses that are connected to Azure through site2site VPNs where the central processing takes place. These VPNs are the lifeline for the Active Ants branches and are continuously monitored.

Qualifications

As a System Administrator, you will operate in an environment that is constantly subject to change, thanks in part to the company's rapid growth. You will work both independently and as part of a team with your fellow system administrators and developers. In early 2020, Active Ants made the move to Azure Cloud for the production environment. Running and managing our hybrid network environments optimally is the main task in this role.

  • Minimum HBO working and thinking level.
  • 3 years' experience as a Network and System Administrator.
  • Driving license B
  • You have experience with:
  • Windows Server, AD, DHCP and WSUS.
  • Microsoft 365
  • Azure
  • Experience in building and managing networks.
  • You have knowledge of Cisco (Firewall, Switches, routing, Wireless, Unified Communications).
  • You have knowledge and experience of monitoring and Security.
  • You have knowledge of Storage and office equipment.
  • Knowledge of logistics and business processes is an advantage.

  • You have a great sense of responsibility (no 9 to 5 mentality).

About Active Ants

Active Ants is a fast-growing E-Fulfilment company headquartered in Nieuwegein. In our warehouses, we manage the stock for various webshops, ship their orders and process returns. We have mechanised much of our order process through our Autostore storage and order picking system, fully automatic packing machines and goods run through our warehouse via fully automatic roller belts or robots. This makes our e-fulfilment service sustainable and reduces our footprint.

We currently have warehouses in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the UK and look forward to conquering more countries in Europe with our E-Fulfilment concept.
