Job Description 🚀 Join the Fusion and Modular Nuclear Business Unit 🚀Reporting to the Turbine Island Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for various Turbine Island design development activities. The Mechanical Engineer shall work closely with multi-disciplined teams and the supply chain to help deliver the Turbine Island design. Your mission: 🔍 Ensure supplier deliverables meet requirements. 🛠️ Develop and check design documents with Senior Engineers. 💡 Assist in design development activities and optioneering studies. 🔧 Apply Systems Engineering principles. 🏭 Integrate Turbine Island design into wider power plant infrastructure. 🤝 Engage with stakeholders and attend design reviews. ⚠️ Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality management. Qualifications 🎓 Minimum 2:1 BEng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. 🌟 Relevant senior engineering experience in sectors like offshore, renewables, nuclear, or other highly regulated industries. ⚙️ Solid background in mechanical and structural engineering . 🖥️ Proficient with CAD software : Skilled in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and/or Catia. 📐 Strong mathematical skills : Experienced with MathCAD software. 📝 Skilled in producing technical reports : Expertise in creating design and substantiation reports, assembly procedures, etc. 🏭 Knowledge of manufacturing processes : Understanding of welding, machining, etc. 🔄 Experienced with the engineering design cycle from Concept to Manufacture. Additional Information: 📏 Familiar with European and Offshore standards : Experience with Eurocode 3 and DNV. 🎓 Master’s degree is a plus . 🖼️ Skilled in checking and approving engineering CAD assemblies and drawings . 📋 Proficient in verifying engineering documentation : Manual calculations, reports, etc. 🧮 Excellent Finite Element Analysis skills : In-depth knowledge of ANSYS Workbench is desirable. 📊 Experienced in non-linear and fatigue FEA : Familiar with DNV and Eurocodes.
