Job Description We’re looking for a HR Officer contractor to join our on-a 6-month basis. This role is critical to providing expert HR and employee relations support, acting as the first point of contact for managers and employees. You’ll manage ER cases with confidence, coach leaders through HR processes, and help drive continuous improvement across the team. If you’re passionate about people, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this is your opportunity to make an impact. What you’ll be doing: Take ownership of employee relations cases, from performance and absence management to drafting outcome letters with care and precision Be the go-to person for HR queries, offering clear, supportive advice to employees and managers on policies and processes Guide and coach managers through HR procedures, helping them feel confident and empowered in handling people matters Keep our HR data accurate and reliable, while spotting opportunities to make processes smoother and more efficient Work closely with a collaborative HR team, using tools like Fresh Works to track queries and ensure everyone gets the support they need What you’ll bring to the role: Confidence in handling employee relations cases, with sound judgment and the ability to manage sensitive situations thoughtfully Strong communication and coaching skills, helping managers feel supported and empowered through HR processes A collaborative mindset and team spirit, ready to “back each other” and contribute positively to a close-knit HR team Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, ensuring accuracy in HR data and smooth case management Adaptability and resilience, thriving in a fast-paced environment and embracing change with a flexible approach Qualifications Essential Skills Experience of HR and employee relations case management. Experience of working within a fast-paced environment where cross departmental working is expected and be comfortable with ambiguity. Flexible attitude and adaptable to changing priorities and styles depending on business demands. A strong team player, demonstrates our values of “back each other”. Demonstrated ability to multitask with conflicting priorities. Proficient in Office 365 programmes. Strong communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
