We are currently looking for a Patent Administrator to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Berkshire area. As the Patent Administrator you will be responsible for providing Intellectual Property (IP) administration support to a group of attorneys.

The Patent Administrator is a 12 month contract, with a chance to be extended.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Patent Administrator will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will be responsible for preparing patent formalities (For example POA Assignments).

2. As the Patent Administrator, you will be preparing applications for filing via EPO, UKIPO, PCT and using online filing tools.

3. You will be corresponding with foreign stakeholders to file patents (national phase entry, EP validation) and other official patent actions (such as requesting examination, paying fees).

4. As the Patent Administrator, you will be tracking and updating due dates.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Patent Administrator we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Previous experience in a Patent Administrator (A CIPA qualification) would be an advantage.

2. A good working knowledge in patent databases and Intellectual Property Filings.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with online filing tools (EPO OLF, ePCT, UK filings).
