Senior Director/Executive Director

Our customer is a successful and growing specialist timber products manufacturing business. Based in Lincolnshire, and part of a growing privately owned group, they are a well known branded business and market leader within the chosen industries they serve. The business is looking to continue to grow revenue and profitability developing both new products, and markets, as well as expanding their customer base internationally. As a result, they have an exciting opportunity for a new Managing Director to lead the business on the next stage of their growth journey.
Role Overview:
The Managing Director will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and hands-on guidance and support to all aspects of the company's business operations. This includes overseeing material sourcing and purchasing, manufacturing processes, business development initiatives, financial control and ensuring overall organisational effectiveness.
Person Specification:
At least 5 years in a Managing Director role with balanced experience of working in both large and SME manufacturing organisations.
Ideally a commercial background with strength in developing existing customer relationships whilst enhancing opportunities in new market areas.
Possess strong financial acumen having led businesses to ensure cash flow and profitability performance whilst supporting the vision and objectives of the overall organisation.
Strong hands-on people management and leadership skills bringing a mindset that focuses on evolving the strength of team members to ensure future delegation and succession planning.
Experience of working within timber or agricultural supply chain industries preferred.
Intellectual agility with the ability to work with the Group to enhance the sustainable growth and performance of the business.
