We are looking for a unique individual to support with the difficult task of changing the bandages of our 15 year male client who suffers from a chronic skin condition called Epidermolysis bullosa (EB).

The client has bandages over the majority of his body which are covering open wounds and blisters which require specific care to avoid infection. This is an extremely painful procedure and the client has specific pain medication prescribed to help with this. someone who is committed long term as training could take up to 6 months before the person is confident in doing this task alone.

We are looking to recruite a small team of carers on 2 week rolling rota covering Monday to Sunday, Days and Nights (depending on availability).You must be able to work alternate weekends.

Role: Healthcare Assistant

* Hourly Rate: £20

* Days: Mon-Fri 14.Nights: Monday to Sunday 21.Contract: Full Time or Part Time

* Speciality: Complex Care

* Start Date: ASAP on completion of recruitment process

* Theory and Practical training will be provided free of charge to ensure you have the correct skills and knowledge to support this service user’s needs. This is an amazing opportunity to learn new skills and progress in your health and social care career. Practical clinical training will be delivered by one of our nurses so you can learn first-hand from their expertise.

What are your duties as a Healthcare Assistant in this package?

* Support in Moving and Handling & Personal Care

* Training Carers.

* A minimum of 6 months professional care experience
