We are looking for a Senior Piping Engineer to join our EMEA team out of our office in Manchester, UK .
In this role, you will work on various projects as assigned by a Project Manager or Lead Designer. Use computer-aided design technologies to develop sketches, drawings, and construction documents. Reviews drawings and documents to ensure compliance with company design and production standards.
Attend pre-bid meetings and assist the project team in evaluating commercial proposals.
Archive and retrieve data from electronic database for support of work.
Research equipment selection from catalogues under the direction of the Project Designer/Engineer.
Ensure acceptable levels of quality and checks for coordination of work to assure documents reflect design intent and necessary coordination.
Attend job and construction meetings and participate in the coordination of the work.
Support field installation and start-up activities.
Provide limited contribution to performance reviews for assigned staff.
Special projects as assigned.
Must be proficient in the use of a computer for design and understand CAD operations. General knowledge of mechanical and electrical system design. Proven time management skills to juggle more than one project at a time.
~ Process industrial experience, especially in the Life Sciences industries, is preferred.
