Department: SS&C GIDs Chorus Build UK Locations: Basildon, Chelmsford, London Hours: 37.5 per week, typically 9 am–5 pm Start date: February 2026 Closing date: 16th December 2025 Assessment Centre & Interview Day: This will take place in our Basildon office in early January 2026 About The Role Join our 2-year graduate programme starting in February 2026. This role sits within the SS&C GIDs Chorus Build UK team and will give you the opportunity to develop technical capability across hosting, automation, and workflow design. You’ll be supporting the ongoing development and maintenance of SS&C’s private cloud environment and contributing to a major programme of work to migrate Legacy Chorus systems. It’s a good fit for someone interested in cloud technologies, who enjoys problem-solving, and wants to build solid technical foundations alongside an experienced global team. Key Responsibilities You will receive support and training, and gradually take ownership of tasks such as: Supporting Chorus hosting activities within the SS&C Private Cloud Assisting with the build and maintenance of automation scripts Helping with database creation and amendments Contributing to application networking tasks Supporting promotion processes and release activities Maintaining components of the wider Chorus ecosystem to ensure stability and security Skills And Knowledge We’re Looking For You don’t need to be an expert, but an interest or basic exposure in the following areas will help: Education: A minimum 2:2 degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Must have graduated in 2024 or 2025. Technical skills: Understanding of cloud hosting (AWS or private cloud) Awareness of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub) Interest in automation/IaC tools (Terraform) Basic understanding of scripting or workflow automation (JavaScript) Foundational scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Groovy) Understanding of Linux commands or databases (Oracle experience is a bonus) Awareness of cybersecurity considerations Interest in monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Grafana) Personal qualities: Collaborative and willing to work across different teams Proactive and able to take initiative when solving problems Curious about how systems work and open to learning Comfortable developing skills through hands-on experience What Your First 6–12 Months Will Look Like You’ll be supported by colleagues across the UK, India, and Thailand.
