Senior Board Design Engineer - PCIe / DDR / FPGA

We are currently partnered with an industry leading semiconductor company in the UK working on next generation technologies. The team is looking to expand their headcount with a Senior Board Design Engineer to work on topics including cutting-edge IP product prototyping.

This is a permanent working opportunity based in Cambridge, UK. (hybrid working available with 2 days onsite per week)

Key responsibilities for this Senior Board Design Engineer position:

  • Actively contribute to the specification, development, and commissioning of new hardware platforms.
  • Support PCB development, including schematics, and commissioning.
  • Supporting NPI processes (including management of manufacturing support and external contractors)
  • Working collaboratively with the program team to ensure project timescales are met.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven track record in PCB design with specific experience working with high speed IO interface standards.
  • Extensive knowledge of embedded system board design with experience designing LSI devices (eg. FPGAs)
  • Broad knowledge of EDA tools utilized in schematic entry PCB layout.
  • RTL skills in Verilog or VHDL are highly beneficial.
