Passive Fire Stopper role will consist of: Fortus Recruitment are a recruitment company that specialise in placing people within the repairs & maintenance industry We are currently working on behalf of a Local Authority The Passive Fire Stopper will involve working in both the social housing sector as well as some commercial properties. As a Passive Fire Stopper you will report to the Contracts Manager, and you are the first point of contact between the business and our client. You must have good written and oral communication skills and have a high level of technical knowledge across the fire industry. The main duties of a Passive Fire Stopping Engineer include: We are looking for candidates with previous experience working on Fire stopping/Fire Door projects:
  • Install fire stopping to fire doors
  • Use of ablative batts
  • Reading site plans
  • Ensure all work is carried out to a standard that satisfies the customer, company, and accreditations (FIRAS)
  • Keep the Passive Fire Protection Supervisor up to date on progress or potential delays
  • Adhere to the company's quality procedures in all aspects of the job
  • Act in a safe manner in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and requirements
