Our projects range in value from £5k to £15m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, and supporting our valued Tier 1 contractor clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity. The Role This is a permanent opportunity. Core hours Monday to Friday, contracted to 40hrs per week. Paid hourly with overtime paid. You will be paid travel time door to door, on top of your contracted and overtime hours. Company van can be provided with fuel card.
- To be responsible for supervising electrical installations in accordance with (current) Bridges Mechanical Safety Rules and Essential Standards.
- Ensure that all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with the project’s quality plan and inspection and test plans.
- To follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment and to be empowered to stop work should unsafe circumstances arise.
- To coach and mentor Mechanical Fitters, Mates and Apprentices.
- Promote and demonstrate the Bridges’ values when dealing with peers, staff, customers and clients.
- Promote positive health and wellbeing amongst their peers.
- To act in a professional manner and be an ambassador for Bridges, supporting the business goals and maintaining the company’s positive reputation.
- Heavy / process engineering industry experience
- Authorisation to Pressure Test (Bridges)
- Emergency first aid or First Aider
- Full UK driving license
- SSSTS or SMSTS
